Brockville – A little rain did not dampen the spirits of a number of community minded individuals who came together the evening of Thursday June 20th to take part in Brockville and District Hospital Foundation’s 11th Annual Heart & Solstice Event.
The Heart & Solstice Event took place at the beautiful waterfront home of John and Catherine Macdonald which raised $27,000 for Brockville General Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab Program.
The Kawartha Credit Union (Brockville Branch) was the proud lead partner of this event having donated $5000 via Kawartha Credit Union’s Community Involvement Program. Kawartha Credit Union is passionate about supporting the well-being of its communities and they are dedicated to making a real difference in the region.
As well, a number of local restaurateurs provided delicious appetizers, and the Perth Brewing Company provided beer in support of the Cardiac Rehab Program.
The Cardiac Rehab Program receives no government funding and relies solely on generous community donors, and hardworking, dedicated groups such as the Heart & Solstice Committee to raise funds for the Program.
