Brockville – “Caring for Your Family’s Treasures” is a brand-new workshop series offered by the Brockville Museum beginning April 1.
Learn about some at-home tip and tricks for preserving your family’s heirlooms through demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Museum Registrar Veronica Vareiro will look at some of the most common problems, as well as offer realistic solutions, for preserving books and paper documents, old photographs and textiles such as quilts and garments in an informal and relaxed setting.
The series of three workshops will be held from 1- 3 p.m. on the first Monday of the month from April until June are scheduled as follows: April 1: Paper Documents; May 6: Old Photographs; and June 3: Textiles.
