Brockville – Last Thursday evening, the Brock Trail Committee received a cheque from the ‘Brockville & Area Community Foundation’ for $7,350.65 at a reception held at the Mill Restaurant.
The funding, which is being made available through the Tom Dailey Bequest, is being used to pay for the installation of 7 solar-powered lamps that were recently installed around and on the Thomas D. Dailey Bridge on the Brock Trail.
The new solar lights are part of a pilot project to test them out and include 4 lights mounted on the bridge and two stand alone ones leading to the bridge. The lights were supplied by Ron Magen, of STI Solar technology and installed recently by two volunteers.
