Prescott – On September 9, 2018, at approximately 6:00PM the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were informed that a civilian had located a deceased body, in the St. Lawrence River, near the village of Morrisburg.
The male located, matched the description of the 25 year old missing male, from Brampton, Ontario.
The identification of the located male will be confirmed, pending an up-coming post-mortem examination.
On September 9, 2018, at approximately 6:30PM the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of a man who had jumped off the Prescott-Ogdensburg International Bridge. The male was identified as a 25 year old from Brampton, Ontario.
Emergency personal, including members of the Grenville County OPP, the OPP Marine Unit, the OPP helicopter, the Canadian Coast Guard, the Edwardsburgh and Prescott Fire Rescue and the Ogdensburg Police Service assisted in the search for the missing male.
