Nominees were considered based on BGH values, professional knowledge of position, demonstrating team support and going beyond the call of duty.
The roster of nominees was very strong, with the most nominees in the award’s history at 19 in total. Boyd Dodd, a Personal Support Worker (PSW), employed at the Hospital’s Garden Street site, was this year’s award recipient. Dodd was recognized by several members of his peers through a video submission for his commitment to BGH values, gentle approach to patient care and teamwork.
Honorable mentions were also given to Tanya Beale, an Executive Assistant, and Linda Hunter, the Vice President of Clinical Services.
“People are the heart of this hospital,” shared Jim Cooper, the newly appointed Co-Chair of BGH’s Board of Directors. “Thank you for all that you do, and continue to do for our community.”
