The Fundraiser in Support of Loaves & Fishes Brockville Sold Record-Breaking 500 Plus Tickets!
Brockville – The 9th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event in support of Loaves & Fishes Brockville was held on Saturday at the Brockville Memorail Centre selling a record-breaking 500 plus tickets.
The annual event that brings together local artisans, chefs, musicians, volunteers and a very supportive community raised approximately $19,200.
Thos in attendance on Saturday had a chance to purchase a handcrafted bowl by local artisans and enjoy great soup prepared by 12 local restaurants.
The local restaurants donating soup this year were The Buell St Bistro, The Union Jack, Kelsey’s,The Brockberry, The Mill, Barley Mow, Buds on the Bay,Tandoori Mint,The Georgian Dragon Ale House, Fulford Academy, Loaves & Fishes, and Nakhon Thai.
As well, Scotia Bank Brockville matched each ticket sold for this year’s event.
