Annual Santa Claus Parade Begins at 11:00am!

Merrickville – The annual Christmas in Merrickville is being held this Saturday, December 2nd in the village.

Catch the Holiday Spirit and enjoy fun-filled festivities starting at 8:30am until 8:30pm and will also feature the annual Santa Claus Parade starting at 11:00am as it travels down St. Lawrence Street and cheer up a child in need by donating an unwrapped toy, hosted by the Merrickville Volunteer Firefighters.

Warm up over an open fire and enjoy sorne hot chocolate, roast hot dogs and marshmallows, savor an assortment of awesome chill’s and sip on steamy apple cider.

Other events through-out the day will include, Breakfast with Santa, Cookie Walk, Children’s Activities: Face Painting, Dr.FourFace Extravaganza, a Silent Auction, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Diego the Magician, Chili Tent, Pictures with Santa, Christmas with Elvis, Children’s Decorated Trees, Petting Zoo and more.

As well there will be Design your own Christmas Ball Glass Blowing Demonstrations, Broomball Match, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Juice Jam, and a Vendor Market (United Church).

Drop off non-perishable food items for the Merrickville Lions Hamper Fund or at the Build a Mountain of Food van, in front of Food Town.
