Brockville – Seven new dance teams were announced on Friday night at the Keystorm Pub for the 8th Annual Dancing Stars of Leeds-Grenville.
The major fundraiser for the Volunteer Centre of St, Lawrence-Rideau is being held on Friday, March 1st at Thousand Islands Secondary School.
Since 2012, local celebrities have been selected and paired with local dance choreographers.

The public is invited to purchase tickets to attend the event and to select their favourite performance by casting their votes with loonies. A panel of judges, comprised of local celebrities that have previously danced in the competition provides commentary through-out the evening.
The judges this year are, Lisa Free, Dave Jeggo, Stef Jones and Tina Murray.
Once all of the dancers have performed, the voting containers will be weighed to determine the top three contenders based on the following:
- Entertainment value
- Stage presence
Emcees for the evening are Bruce Wylie and Danielle Van Dyk.
Tickets will be on sale soon at both Scotia Bank locations in Brockville.
