Spencerville – The 4th annual South Grenville Bluegrass Festival presented by The Ottawa Valley Bluegrass Music Association is taking place this weekend at the Spencerville Fairgrounds.
It got underway on Thursday night and continues throuhg until Sunday, August 20th. Opening ceremonies is tonight at 5:30pm.
Headlining the weekend is Carson Peters and Iron Mountain from Tennessee and Remington Ryde from Pennsylvania.
Friday August 18th will festure, Davis and Grant, The Pie Plates, Bluegrass Junction, Maple Hill, Sweet Grass and The Dusty Drifters. on Saturday will be Maple Hill, Grass Under Fire, Carson Peters and Iron Mountain, Remington Ryde, Handsome Molly, Sweet Grass, Bill White and White Pine, Camper’s Choir, Davis and Grant, County Road 44, and The Dusty Drifters.
Sunday will feature a Gospel Service (Billy Lee Cox), Bill White and White Pine, Bluegrass Junction, Grass Under Fire, Remington Ryde and County Road 44.
Spencerville Presbyterian Church will serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday at 7am (Small Hall). Woodland BBQ Chicken will be available on Saturday at 4pm.
In addition there will be workshops on Saturday August 19th featuring Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Song Writing.
Admission weekend pass is $70 at the gate. General Admission is $20 for Friday, $25 (All Day) Saturday, $20 Saturday after 4:00pm and $15 for Sunday.
