Athens – The 38th Annual Farmersville Exhibition, more affectionately known as the “Steam Fair,” hosted by the Athens Lions Club is taking place this weekend, from Friday, July 14th through to Sunday July 16th at the Centre ’76 Fairgrounds in Athens.

The 2017 fair will feature Oliver tractors, along with all lines of vintage tractors, trucks and vintage equipment being displayed.

It will also include a craft fair, working steam engines, country music, vintage car & motorcycle show and more.

Entertainment this year will include: Pat Johnson & Friends from 6:30-9:00pm Friday evening, R & B Country from 2-6 pm on Saturday and County RD 5 from 12-4 pm on Sunday.

There will be the vintage tractor pull on Saturday and the Horse draw on Sunday.

General admission is $5.00 for Friday eve, $10.00/day on Saturday and Sunday or $15.00 for the weekend. Children under 12 yrs old free.

Main events will include:

Steam-powered engines and other equipment in operation
Vintage Machinery operating and on display
Antique Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles
Craft fair
Children’s Amusements
On Friday:
Fiddlers Plus Old Tyme Country Music – 6:00-9:00 pm at the Festive Gardens
On Saturday:
Shriner’s Breakfast available 7:00-10:30 am
Grounds open at 9:00 am
Craft fair 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Vintage Tractor Pull – 12:00 noon start
Country Music – 12:00-4:00 pm
On Sunday:
Shriner’s Breakfast available 7:00-10:30 am
Grounds open at 9:00 am
Craft fair 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
Horse Draw – 11:00 am start at the Horse Paddock
Country Music – 11:00-3:00pm
