Brockville – The 30th Annual 1000 Islands Poker Run hosted by Poker Runs America made it’s annual lunch stop in Brockville on Saturday in Downtown Brockville.
More than 80 large powerboats were participating in the annual event.
Spectators lined Blockhouse Island, parts of Hardy Park and the harbour area as many large power boats stopped for lunch at the Tall Ships South Coast Grill just after 11:30am.
The annual event began in Kingston Saturday morning around 10am with card stops in Prescott, (the turn-a-round) and Gananoque before finishing up back in Kingston.
Poker Runs America brings a NEW and exciting event to the 1000 Islands region this year, creating a spectacular season finale – the Ultimate Shootout and Poker Run Rendezvous Weekend to be held from September 7th to 9th in Gananoque.
On Friday, September 7, the general public is invited to join them at the Gananoque Municipal Marina. Saturday will feature the Poker Run with card stops in Brockville, Prescott and Rockport.
The exciting finale of this new event takes place on Sunday, September 9, with the Ultimate Shootout Challenge where two of the fastest boats in North America will go head-to-head to claim the title of the Fastest Boat in the 1000 Islands!
