Brockville – The Employment + Education Centre’s Homeward Bound program is pleased to announce it has awarded the second year of tuition scholarships to Homeward Bound graduates.
These recipients were acknowledged during a brief ceremony at St. Lawrence College in Brockville on August 23 and are very excited about starting school in September.
The Employment + Education Centre and the scholarship recipients would like to express their gratitude to the generous donors who have made the scholarship fund possible.
Scholarship winners are Tenisha Poelstra and Mia Teal (entering the 2nd year of study). First year students are Amanda Duplisea, Melissa Wood – Walsh, Sara Kelsey, Jordyn Preston, Misty Gleiser, Maggie Chafe and Kayla Peters.
Sue Watts, Executive Director of the Employment + Education Centre states that she has seen amazing success at Homeward Bound due to the dedication and hard work of the women, strong community partnerships, and generous donors who share our vision of creating new pathways to opportunity for single mothers and their children.
