17th Annual Winter Fun Day at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area Taking Place This Saturday

Tincap – It’s that time of year again – time for you, your family and friends to come out to the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville and enjoy lots of outdoor sights and sounds as part of the 17th annual Winter Fun Day.

The event will take place this Saturday, Jan. 25th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features lots of fun activities for every member of the family. Lace up the blades and skate on the ‘Back Pond’ or go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing (free snowshoeing for kids!!) and enjoy the thrill of our ice slide.

The Mush Larose sled dog races are also back by popular demand, with races starting at 11 a.m., and live music will be provided at the Nature Centre by local group Fiddlers Plus.

Refreshments, including a barbecue/chilli lunch, will available at the Nature Centre, thanks to the Friends of the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area. For more information and updates on other special attractions on this exciting day, visit us on Facebook or www.crca.ca/event-calendar

To get to the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, take Highway 29 north from Brockville to Tincap, turn east on Debruge Road and drive for two kilometres to the main entrance.
