$10,000 in products from the NEW Carisma line earmarked for women in need

OTTAWA – To celebrate the launch of Carisma, Giant Tiger’s new women’s intimates line, Giant Tiger is donating comfort bras and underwear to women’s shelters in each of the provinces it calls home. A full list of the supported shelters can be found below.

“These shelters play such a vital role acting as a place of refuge and solace. It is important that they have the basic necessities they need to help these women rebuild their self-esteem and get back on their feet,” says Karen Sterling, VP Marketing, Giant Tiger Stores Limited.

“Often, women and children come to the shelter with no belongings. Ensuring people at least have a change of underwear is really a basic item in preserving dignity. We appreciate organizations such as Giant Tiger acknowledging our client’s needs for basic necessities most of us take for granted,” says Stephanie Taylor, Executive Director, Regina Transition House.

“Giant Tiger is a company that champions women and the community. With our core customer being Canadian women, we want to make sure we are supporting causes that are important to them,” offers Sterling. “Giant Tiger has a long-standing history of supporting female-centric charitable organizations. From our deep rooted partnership with the CURE Foundation to our partnership with the Canadian Women’s Foundation, we are committed to improving the lives of Canadian women.”
