The Healthy Kids Community Challenge is a 4 themed initiative with the goal of promoting children’s health through physical activity and healthy eating. We are just entering into the third theme of our Healthy Kids Community Challenge journey and are very excited about the theme, choose to boost veggies and fruit. Throughout the summer months, the Healthy Kids Community Challenge team will be running a “road show” across Leeds and Grenville! We are going to be playing fun games to help people learn more about vegetables and fruit and we will have our brand new blender bike with us along the way.
This is an actual bike, which has been made stationary; a blender sits on the back of the bike and it is powered entirely by the person riding. The blender can be used to make smoothies, soups, or even salad dressings. It’s exciting to see the blender work by the power of a bicycle!
