Winchester – “We should be very proud of our hospital. There is love and empathy and people are treated well.”
That was the sentiment of Dr. Wayne Domanko as he was recognized for 50 years of service at WDMH’s annual Long-Term Service Awards held on October 24th.
Dr. Henry Prins was recognized for 45 years of service and echoed Dr. Domanko’s comments. “It is a
real joy to be at WDMH. You are all family and I truly mean that.”
More than 70 staff members and physicians who have achieved milestone years of service were celebrated. As well, 10 colleagues who retired this past year were recognized. Together, the recipients have provided well over 1,000 years of service to patients and families at WDMH.
“I am always proud to tell people that I am a Board member at WDMH. Because when I do, I always hear wonderful stories about the care and compassion that WDMH is known for,” noted Board Vice Chair James Pitruniak. “That reputation is because of each of you – and all the staff, physicians and volunteers who look after patients and families every day.”
“To each person celebrated tonight, you are a part of the wonderful fabric of WDMH and contribute to our Compassionate Excellence,” added CEO Cholly Boland. “Congratulations and thank you for all your work.”
