Winchester – Calm, committed and comforting. These are the words that have been used to describe the latest recipients of the WDMH Commitment Award.
Congratulations to Dr. Shamsa Deeb, Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Chris Barkley, Executive Assistant to the CEO and Volunteer Faye McCurdy.
The Commitment Awards shine a light on individuals or teams who exemplify WDMH’s values of Compassion, Excellence, One Team, Respect, Accountability, Innovation and Learning.
Here is what their nominators had to say about these dedicated WDMH team members:
“Dr. Deeb amazes me with her leadership and hands-on skills. Her calm nature has not gone unnoticed. Dr. Deeb is very dedicated to her patients, often staying on call long hours to be present for deliveries. We have a great leader and we value her expertise. Winchester is blessed to have her.”
“Chris always has WDMH’s best interests at heart. Whether it’s offering to volunteer her time with us or making people feel like part of the family, she obviously cares deeply about all who depend on WDMH.”
“Faye used to volunteer in our chemotherapy department once a week and was an important member of our team. She helped to make our patients comfortable with a pillow, blanket and snack. We miss her but are glad to see her when she drops off chemo caps that she kindly and cleverly knits for our patients.”
Congratulations to all the nominees.
