Winchester – The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) volunteers were honoured at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon held at the Chesterville Legion on April 18th.

And the accolades were well-deserved! For 70 years, the Auxiliary has been supporting patients, staff and our
community, lending a helping hand wherever needed. In fact, our volunteers donated 13,000 hours of time in
2017.

The luncheon included a wonderful Italian buffet, as well as entertainment provided by CEO Cholly Boland, CIO
Sean O’Brien and Engineer Brian McAulay.

At the event, several volunteers were recognized for milestone anniversaries:

30 years – Elinor Jordan
25 years – Margaret Countryman
20 years – Dawn Atwood- Ouellette
20 years – Lisa Streng
10 years – Grace Robinson
5 years – Sharel Bell
5 years – Madeline Bourbonnais
5 years – Elizabeth Luck
5 years – James Pitruniak
5 years – Shawn Sutton
5 years – Mike Villeneuve
5 years – Marieke vanNoppen
5 years – Stephen McClellan
5 years – Andrew Barrett

Linda Foster and Brenda Pascoe were also recognized for going above and beyond in their duties. They received
an Auxiliary V-Pin.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our volunteers! The need for more volunteers always exists. If you are
