Iroquois – Quality Manufacturing is moving back to South Dundas and into the former Caldwell Linens facility located in Iroquois which has been vacant for more than 10 years. Production is slated to begin at the end of the month.
Quality Manufacturing will be using 38,000 square feet on the east side of the former factory located at 24 Bath Road. General Manager Gordon Carvell expects the facility to be at full scale by the end of the year creating 30 full-time jobs.
“It is my pleasure to welcome the return of Quality Manufacturing to South Dundas. Job creation plays an important role in the growth of our community,” said Mayor Byvelds. “My congratulations to Gordon and everyone at the company as they get underway.”
Products made by Quality Manufacturing include household cleaning J-cloths, Tintek Dye – for items like fabric, paper and wood – and specialized Dolby 3D Glasses. These glasses are used at the IMAX Theatres in Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
“I think it is great that Quality Manufacturing chose this former factory to locate their business. It is nice to see manufacturing return to this building after so many years,” said Economic Development Officer, Rob Hunter.
