Cornwall – North Dundas District High School won gold Wednesday in the girls’ event at the 2018 Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) Co-Ed Curling Championships.

The team of skip Grace Cave, vice Alison Roach, second Taryn Cooper and lead Chloe Ziegler defeated Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute 6-4 to win the final.

Coach Melissa Cooper said the team’s draw capability made the difference. Cooper also credited guidance on the ice from Assistant Coach James Cave as a contributing factor in the win.

The team will represent the Board and region at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations Curling Championships March 20th to 25th in Fort Frances, Ontario.

Seaway District High School won bronze.
